Leave: University Apartments community center (please be there before 10:20 AM as they leave sharp at 10:30 AM)
Food: The event is pot luck. Bring your food and beverages and you will have lunch together.
Ride: Please send an email to psa if you need a ride. We can help to coordinate the rides.
Weather:  Forecast is partly cloudy and temperature is between 64 to 80 F.

Norooz Celebration in College Station

PSA has organized a celebration for Norooz. Please join us in this most important event of the year!

Please invite your friends, advisors, or anyone that you think may be interested. If you prefer to invite your advisors or officials through PSA, please let us know.

Time: 06:30 PM to 11:30 PM (dinner will be served at 08:00 PM)
Food: It will be provided by PSA. The food includes "Kabab Koobideh" (kabab made with ground lamb), "Chicken Shish Kabab" and "Sabzi Polo" (Rice with vegetables). All the foods are from Shiraz Shish Kabab restaurant.
Admission: 7$ for each person if you purchase the tickets before Saturday. We have limited tickets on Saturday with a cost of 10$ each.
Activities: After dinner we have traditional music performance and short presentations about Nowrooz. Then we continue with more music and we will have dance floor set up.

More Information: Dr. Naderi is the associate director of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory responsible for project formulation and strategy. Before his current assignment he was the head of Mars Exploration Program, having been named to that position in 2000 after the program had suffered two consecutive failures. He helped replan the program as a chain of scientifically, technologically and operational interrelated missions with a spacecraft launch to Mars every two years. Dr. Naderi led the program for the next five years, a span of time that included the successful launch of Mars Odyssey, landing of the Mars Exploration Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, and the development of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
