PSA administration

With PSA election right around the corner, we would like to get your feedback on a proposed change in the PSA administrative model.

As you may know PSA has grown in size during past years. Thirty new members have joined us just this year, and with the growing number of members it is time to make few changes to the current administration model of PSA.

In light of this, we believe a flat structure in which the responsibility is given to a board rather than a  person, would be a more efficient structure for PSA. The proposed structure would have one additional member : a president or head of the board and four other board members working as a group. In simple words, in the proposed model the board members will decide how to share the work.

University rules requires every student organization to have at least two officers who would be the president and the treasurer f the organization with their signatures for official paperwork . In the new structure we will elect the president and board members and as for the treasurer we suggest to leave it to board members to decide among themselves to pick a person as treasurer.

Based on the current PSA constitution, any change should be approved by two-third of the active members. As we will have our election in few weeks, we would like to ask you to e-mail us your word of support or any objection or concern that you may have on this proposed change.

Please also think about running for presidency or board membership as we will announce the exact date of the election within a few days.
Thanks,

PSA Officers
